9ice Explains Why He Denied His Twin Daughters

   


Shortly after his marriage to ex-wife Toni Payne packed up in 2010, Gongo Aso crooner 9ice welcomed a set of twin daughters with another lady Vicki Gordis.

When the news first became public, 9ice fiercely denied the story, saying the press had made it up. Not until he proudly shared the pictures of his adorable twins on Instagram some weeks back.
And in this new interview with Punch, 9ice finally explains why he lied. Why did you deny you had twins when they were born?

- I did say I didn’t have twins then because I believe it was personal. If I have N1m, I think it is only my account’s officer that should know how much I have. In fact, he wouldn’t even have the right to check my account unless I ask him to do that. He couldn’t just cull up my account details and start checking how much I have. This is not a car we are talking about, these are human beings.

But when they grow up, do you think they will forgive you when they read that you once denied them?

- I will tell them the reason I did that. It was the same way my father gave me his own reasons. I didn’t know him until I was 22. I got to know my mother when I was 18. 

They gave me their reasons for doing what they did. I asked my father where he was all the time I was growing up and he told me where and how and when he was a part of my life. If my kids grow up to ask me why I did what I did, I would certainly explain to them. I didn’t say I didn’t have kids just because I wanted to lie, No. I had my reasons. I had my life to live.

You are in showbiz, so you shouldn’t expect to have a private life…

- But there are still some elements that are personal. I didn’t fight anybody when the stories came out. I just didn’t say anything because I wasn’t ready to talk about it. I wasn’t ready to share the story. When I got ready, I even shared the pictures of the twins. 

Who knows, I could have even used their pictures to make money and sell to a publication that wanted them. But I just released the pictures.

Do we see you getting married to their mother soon?
- I will get married soon. It is very possible.

But is she the one you are with at the moment?
- I am not saying anything on that. No comment.
Let’s go back to what you said earlier on about not knowing your parents until you were a young man, how did it happen?

- It is going to be in my autobiography. I am going to make money out of the story. I am not divulging it. Nobody knows about it yet.

PHOTOS: Mysterious River With Healing Powers Appears In Enugu Community

A river with healing powers mysteriously appeared in Nachi, a community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Already named 'Orimiri Jordan' (River Jordan) it has become a Pilgrimage Centre, playing host to people from all parts of Nigeria.

Countless testimonies abound as Nigerians struggle to dip themselves into the River.
According to reports, it all started on the 11th day of November 2013 when a Fulani herdsman ran to the community and announced how water covered the place just few minutes after he passed.

“He told us that he passed that place with his herd of cattle and soon after, heard a strange noise; when he turned back, he discovered that a big stream has appeared at the same place he just passed with his cattle. 

At that point, he ran to Garki and informed his relatives, who also came there and discovered that the water had healing power. From that point, the news spread to the community”, a source disclosed.

Speaking on the origin of the river, the traditional ruler of Nachi community, His Royal Highness, Igwe F.O Onuigbo, Obi II of Nachi, said that at his palace that the mystery River was older than him.

He said “I used to pass through that area to attend school at Inyi-Achi in Oji River, in the early 40s. In those days, there is no water there, the only thing you see there is white sand. But once you get there and you are thirsty, all you need to do is to scratch the surface of the land and ask if for water, water will full your hand immediately if you are an upright person, but if you are evil, no water will come out. That has been the situation”.

Another octogenarian, Chief Festus Ude said “later, we noticed that after some years, the water will form a stream there and would disappear in few weeks. If such happens, we will be fetching water there. However, women who are menstruating and evil people don’t go there. 

We never heard about healing power of the River until this recent appearance of the River.

“The last time it appeared was in 1992, and at that time, it just formed a small stream, which later disappeared. It has never been as large as this. This is all I know, we have never known about its healing power, this is the first time we are hearing about healing, I don’t whether it is true, we equally heard it like you”.

 
Commercial motorcycle operators, popularly called “Okada”, photographers and petty traders, are already making business out of it.

Right at the junction leading to the location of the “Jordan River”, the visitor is presented with a scene of a busy motor park, where hawkers, food vendors, transporters and okada riders battle for customers.

On the other side of the road, cans of various sizes are displayed for those who came empty handed. From that point, you park your vehicle, mount on Okada and the journey begins.

According to motorcyclist, “I have a vulcanizing shop at the Nachi Market, but when this new business came, I had to close the shop temporarily so that I can also make money here. I hardly make N1000 a day there in my shop, but since I joined this Okada transport to the Enugu Jordan River, I make no less than N10, 000 every day. One of my friends called my attention to it, and I will forever be grateful to him”.

 

The okada operators charge their passengers fares ranging from N500 to N1000 depending on their bargaining power.

On getting to the River, another business scene welcomes you. Here, apart from those hawking snacks, photographers are not left out. This presents the place as not just a miracle centre, but a tourist centre. While some of the visitors dip themselves or swim in the River, the 
photographers take shots, get the pictures ready immediately at the cost of N200 depending on the number of exposures.

One of the photographers said that they make between N20, 000 to N40, 000 every day.
“You can see that some people come for fun, not just in search of miracle but to see the mysterious River. So when such people come, they request for shots and it has really provided us with good business here.


Sources disclosed that many visitors had testified to all forms of miracles after visiting the place.

People of all ages, with all forms of ailments are being assisted by their relatives and friends to dip themselves into the River.

A can seller at the entrance said “my house help was suffering from enlarged scrotum; we were trying to raise money to go to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital before a friend told me about this place. We brought the boy here and by the time we went home, he was fully healed, that was how I started selling empty cans here”.

Another visitor, a civil servant, who identified himself as James told our correspondent that he came after neighbours told him about the healing power of the water.

“I heard about people who had difficulties in walking but they got healed after visiting this place; I also heard of people who regained their sight after visiting this place; I am just coming out from the River and I believed that I am free of any form of sickness and challenges”.

Meanwhile, the crowd of anxious Nigerians seeking for miraculous solutions to their problems has continued to surge into the River.

Even security agents are not left behind as some of them were seen either with their water cans or aiding their loved ones into the River.

However, the water is expected to also dry up any time in the same mysterious way as it came.

Finally Exposed!!! Michael Jackson Spent $35 million To Cover Up Child Molestation Cases

 

Michael Jackson spent nearly $35 million in a desperate bid to cover up his crimes after he molested at least 24 boys, according to an explosive report published Saturday.

London’s Sunday People tabloid says it obtained “secret FBI files” full of stomach-churning details about the late King of Pop’s seamy past.

Jackson allegedly was once caught groping a famous child star and watching pôrnographic films while molesting another boy.

He allegedly fondled a third boy in his private theater as the victim’s clueless mother sat only a few rows away, according to the purported FBI files.

Jordan Chandler (right) and his family received $20 million to keep his inappropriate relationship with the pop star quiet, according to the Sunday People report.

The documents – identified as case numbers CADCE MJ-02463 and CR 01046 — were apparently never turned over to prosecutors in the sensational 2005 trial that cleared Jackson of molestation charges.

In a twist, the bombshell files dating to 1989 were assembled by private eye Anthony Pellicano, who Jackson hired to make sure the skeletons in his closet stayed out of the spotlight.
Pellicano is now in prison, serving a 15-year sentence for racketeering and wiretapping in an unrelated case — but one of his ex-associates opened up to Sunday People.

“I was hired by him to find out where the fires needed putting out and, in this case, where allegations would be coming from,” the unidentified sleuth said.

Private detective Anthony Pellicano was supposedly hired by Michael Jackson to collect and bury the musician’s secrets. Pellicano is currently in prison on unrelated racketeering and wiretapping charges.

“But I have never worked on a case with as many potential claimants as the Jackson case.”
The Daily News obtained FBI files on Jackson in 2009 under the Freedom of Information Act. Those files contained no mention of the sordid documents obtained by Sunday People.
Calls to the FBI on Saturday went unreturned.

The Pellicano files identify a total of 17 boys — including five child actors and two dancers — that Jackson is said to have preyed upon.

Though he denied it to the grave, a shocking report in Sunday People portrays Michael Jackson as a serial molester and child pôrn addict.

Jackson’s other alleged victims include a European boy and the sons of a screenwriter.
At least three boys got hush money, the Pellicano investigator said.

The family of one of them, a well-known young actor, received nearly $600,000 “to refrain from any and all contact with media and communications, newspapers, television, radio, film and books,” the newspaper reported.

The Neverland Ranch was where Wade Robson alleges he was molested by Michael Jackson.

The files also include interviews with former Jackson aides who claim the pop king was obsessed with child pôrn.

“Our reports painted the picture that Jackson was a serial child predator,” the Pellicano associate said.

The $35 million payout includes a nearly $20 million settlement to the family of Jordan Chandler, a 13-year-old boy the singer had befriended.

Word of the massive payout comes days after one of Jackson’s longtime defenders, Wade Robson, filed a lawsuit against the singer’s estate that claims he was molested as well.

Choreographer Wade Robson claims Michael Jackson sèxually abused him repeatedly in the ’90s.

A former child pal of Jackson’s and now a choreographer to the stars, the 30-year-old Robson says he was repeatedly abused during visits to the Neverland Ranch during the 1990s.

The abuse started when Robson was 7 and continued until he was 14, the paper reported.
The fresh accusations have emerged during a dark period for the Jackson clan.

Michael’s 15-year-old daughter, Paris, was hospitalized early this month after a botched suicide attempt.

And a wrongful-death trial in Los Angeles pitting Jackson’s mother, Katherine, against concert giant AEG Live has forced Jacko’s family to relive the day he was found dead of a drug overdose in June 2009.

ASUU Agrees To Suspend Strike After Secret Meeting, Gives Jonathan Three Conditions

  

      


University lecturers in Nigeria have agreed to end the five-month old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, if the federal government agrees to three conditions, according to the Nigerian Eye.

The three conditions are expected to be made known to President Goodluck Jonathan today, after which the strike will be called off and if an agreement is reached.

Although, ASUU has forbidden its local chapters and zonal chairmen from talking to the press until the end of the session. A source, who was part of the ASUU session, which was held at Mambayya House in Kano, however revealed the conditions as:


1. Commitment from the President that any review or reconsideration or renegotiation of the 2009 Agreement will not substantially affect the pact which is the cause of the ongoing strike;

2. Immediate payment of all outstanding salary arrears and allowances of varsity teachers without victimization; and

3. A written commitment from the President that the Federal Government will commit N225 billion annually to the funding of universities for the next four years.


According to the source, “Our leaders are meeting with the President on Monday to table these conditions. Once the President accepts these three terms, the strike will be called off.

“In principle, members voted about 60-40 per cent to call off the strike, but they added a caveat – that ASUU leaders should extract a commitment (signed and sealed) from the President.”
“It became imperative for ASUU to makes these demands, as it became obvious that the FG wanted the 2009 Agreement to be renegotiated.

“If ASUU had accepted to renegotiate the entire Agreement, it means there will be no basis for the ongoing strike. The worst that can happen is either having the abridged version of the 2009 Agreement or a phased implementation of the document,” the source added.

He also added that the conditions are not just three, but the fourth is “personal” to ASUU.

D’Banj Embarassed In Zimbabwe + Gets Booed Off Stage

The biggest fish and the one and only Kokomaster, Dbanj had other plans in his head when he stormed Zimbabwe ready to win the hearts of the crowd at the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival dubbed the “Battle of Africa” in Zim.



However, according to sources from Zimbabwe, D’banj gave his fans a very lackluster performance that eventually pissed off his fans that ended up booing him off the stage.
According to All Africa, the festival featured Ugandan reggae musician Bebe Cool and local dancehall artistes Winky D, Guspy Warrior and King Shaddy.

D’Banj represented West Africa while Bebe Cool represented East Africa.
D’Banj was the main attraction and when it was his turn to perform, he exploded onto the stage amid pomp and zest but soon fizzled out and slumped into near- p****graphy with some fans.

He ran out of steam after exhausting his familiar songs in less than an hour and went into what many revellers described as “hogwash”.

His opening song was “Fall in Love”, followed by “Oliver Twist”, “Kukere” remix, “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense”, “Igwe” and “Why Me”. Then he lost the plot.

ASUU Didn’t Go On Strike Because Of Salaries – National Wages And Salaries Commission

                    

Chairman, National Wages And Salaries Commission, Dr. Richard Egbule, has said the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU did not go on strike because of salaries, because the commission handled the issue of salaries well.

Egbule said this when Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters visited the commission on its oversight tour of the commission.

He also exonerated the commission from the agreement reached between the Federal Government and ASUU.

“The Wages Commission has been up and doing in everything concerning wages and salaries in this country.

“When the controversial agreement was reached in 2009, we were there but not as negotiators. We made it known to them that the route they were going was wrong. Today, I wish to say that ASUU did not go on strike because of salaries because we handled it very well.

“What is controversial was the excess workload allowance, but we have asked them to employ more lecturers to avoid excess workload.

“There has never been a time any agency was asked to go and compute its own salary, but they allowed ASUU to do so. We needed a structural increase where government agency would be factored in.”
Egbule noted with regret that successive leaderships of ASUU had established the culture of using industrial action to announce their arrival.

Speaking earlier, Chairman, Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters, Aloysius Etok, noted that the ongoing negotiations between the duo would be null and void without the input of National Wages and Salaries Commission.

According to Etok, under no guise should the Federal Government negotiate salary or wage increase without the input of the relevant commission.

He attributed most of the incessant industrial actions in the country to sentimental negotiation for salary increase in the civil service.
“We have said this earlier that on no account should Federal Government negotiate salary increase or anything that has to do with wages or salaries without the input of the Commission.
“They should avoid the issue of sentimental increase or negotiation and there should be no exceptions. Four months is about a semester,” he said.

Etok further stated that the commission was expected to have played a prominent role in the 2009 agreement reached between the Federal Government and ASUU.

The Etok-led committee also demanded explanations from the commission on how the 2013 appropriation was implemented and why the impact of the commission was not felt on civil servants salaries crises that threaten some sectors of the economy from time to time.

He lamented the withholding of part of the 2013 budget of the commission, stressing that the commission required funds to carry out its research-based projects, calling for its immediate release so that the commission can implement its budget to the full.

“The commission might look small but the importance cannot be overestimated. We have come to know your level of implementation of 2013 budget.

“We also want to know the relevance of the commission to the Federal Government; why your impact is not felt in the salary problems across the country; why the commission would be there when ASUU is on strike for months and who guided the Federal Government in the agreement entered into with ASUU in 2009?

“You cannot be ruled out in the scheme of things in this country.
“They allowed ASUU compute its own salary,” Etok said.

AMAZING PHOTOS: Africa's First Underwater Hotel Room

Africa has introduced its first underwater hotel room. Now it is the second room of this kind in the world. 



This room, located at the Manta Resort on the Zanzibari island of Pemba, was designed by the same Swedish artist Mikael Genberg, who erected the first underwater hotel room in a lake in Sweden.

The invention is 4 meters beneath the surface.

The three-tiered suite includes a roof deck, a landing deck at sea level with a lounge and bathroom, and of course the underwater bedroom. 

The bedroom windows afford a nearly 360-degree view of a nearby coral reef and dozens of species of fish.

A luxurious room costs $900 per night as a single or $1,500 per night as a couple.

Starting from the top, guests can sunbathe on the bed of the roof deck, or stargaze in an area with almost non-existent light pollution. 


The windows are under-lit to offer a good view of the ocean at all times.

And at night the lights really show off the fishy inhabitants.
